Chinese President Visits Kingsoft Office
Calls on Kingsoft To Be Pioneer in China’s Software Industry
(December 22, 2009 – Hong Kong) Kingsoft Corporation Limited
(“Kingsoft” or the “Company”; SEHK stock code: 03888), China’s
leading entertainment and applications software developer, distributor
and service provider in terms of market
share, is pleased to announce that Chinese President Hu Jintao
visited Kingsoft’s office and research centre in Zhuhai, Guangdong
province yesterday. Mr. Pak Kwan KAU, Chairman and CEO, Mr.
Jun LEI, Vice Chairman of Kingsoft, escorted President Hu to
visit departments of Kingsoft WPS Office, Kingsoft Internet
Security and Kingsoft online games.
President Hu was glad when he was told that Kingsoft self
develops its software products and possesses all core technologies
and intellectual property rights. He was also glad to know
that Kingsoft achieves better sales performance this year.
President Hu said in face of the negative impacts incurred
by the global financial crisis, the Company's business success
was indispensable from the country's support and its own research
and innovation.
At last, President Hu encouraged the Company by saying “Information
technology is highly competitive internationally. I hope that
you all could place top priority on research and innovation,
put in hard efforts to develop software products with selfowned
intellectual property rights, and be a pioneer in China’s
software industry.”
